From a family kitchen in Oaxaca to the heart of Oakland
El Taco Oaxaco was born from a simple conviction: that the flavors of Oaxaca — those patient, layered moles and bright, smoky salsas — deserved a home beyond Mexico's southern border.
Every morning, our masa is hand-ground. Every mole is slow-cooked from recipes passed through generations. We source chilhuacle chiles, black sesame, and chocolate from Oaxaca itself because the shortcuts simply don't exist.
Located in Oakland's Industrial District, we bring the full depth of Oaxacan cuisine to the Bay Area — from tlayudas baked on comales to mezcal poured from the sierra.
